The Co-curricular Programme at Frobel Academy aims to ensure the development of the whole child. Our belief is that children need more than academics to develop into a strong, independent personality. The greater the variety of experiences they have at a young age, the broader their thinking and their ability to learn becomes as they mature into adults. Apart from offering many choices of co-curricular activities within our premises, we take our learners for field trips to various locations up to four times a year so as to give them opportunities to get to know our city.

We have introduced a unique STEAMS curriculum to enhance experimental learning and equip the students with skills necessary for 21st-century independent living.

To ensure a blend of science, mathematics, engineering, and technology, we have partnered with Tech Academy, which has curated a unique Tech curriculum that is vigorously followed in classrooms and supplemented by Animation, Game Development, and Robotics programs as optional extracurricular activities. In addition, we have an excellent art program leading to IGCSE Art and Design. Furthermore, we have introduced pottery, farming, carpentry, and culinary as skills supported by our STEM lab, Makerspace, and culinary lab. Sports are a daily part of our children’s lives and include, but are not limited to, basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, pickle ball, and petanque.

The above blend of curricular, academic, and skills-based curriculum ensures that children are ready to be independent, confident learners as they move from their high school lives into universities or workplaces.

Learning Karate is beneficial to the children as it helps them to show respect for their instructor as well as their opponents, it teaches them self-discipline, it instills mental focus in children, makes them fit, and also improves their confidence.

The greater the exposure to multiple languages at a young age, the higher the ability of the child to understand other people. Also children who know multiple languages are better at storytelling and interpretation.

We are proud to announce that Frobel Academy an MOU with Alliance Francaise in Chittagong and a dedicated teacher comes from their noble institute to teach French to children from Class 2 onwards. This is a part of the curriculum and is a mandatory requirement for all children at least up until class 6.

To ensure that children are exposed to a variety of experiences, we have a full-fledged plan for physical sports for all classes. Unless the child has a health problem and has been given an exception by a doctor, we expect all children to participate in team and individual games at school. We hold an annual sports. Moreover, we have regular team and individual games in school such as:

Cricket,  Badminton,  Basketball,  Chess,  Table tennis,  Petanque,  Pickle ball,  football.

Archery is offered as a paid sports.

Introduction to Dance, Music, and Drama are considered essential tools to build confidence in children and increase their experiential learning. It is important for children to perform in front of an audience as that promotes positive feelings of self worth. Moreover, they learn by doing things backstage.

Special emphasis is paid to enhance learners’ knowledge of our culture through music, drama, and art. Many Bangla cultural events are planned and organized so that learners become aware of our cultural heritage.

Practicing yoga has numerous positive benefits for children. It helps them to build concentration, increase their confidence, and improve their self-image. It also makes the child feel that he or she is part of a healthy, non-competitive, and friendly group. It also encourages them to manage their stress in ways that are healthy and non-aggressive.

Children need to embrace their power to change the community. Our robust I CAN program, Design for Change, and community service activities allow children to accept their roles and responsibilities in creating an impact on the lives of those who live and work with us. We work with several organizations, such as underprivileged schools and orphanages, to prepare children to be bold, brave, and innovative in supporting less fortunate people. Each class works with a unique project throughout the year that allows them to see the change they can bring about with initiative and courage. We want them to be courageous leaders and intrepid change-makers who can positively impact the community.
